We will be exchanging Valentine's day cards on Thursday, Feb. 11th. Students are free to send in their cards WITHOUT names on them starting Tuesday, Feb. 9th. I ask that you have your child only sign the card with their name (it is good handwriting practice). This makes it easier to distribute the cards. Think about it.. 1 person (me) passes out 19 cards from 19 students..... that is a lot of passing out, so to make it a bit easier, please do not have their names on it. Thank you.
Box Tops... did you hear we are in a competition? Please send in all your BOX TOPS for education with you child by Feb. 12th. The class with the most box tops wins a prize.
The 100th day of School will be on Wednesday, Feb. 17th (if we have NO more snow days). To celebrate I would like to have the kids dress up like they are 100 years old. I have included some ideas to help you get started planning what your child will wear.
Girls: printed skirt, pearls, eyeglasses, sweater, wig or curled hairstyle, gray hair spray, knee high stockings, large purse
Boys: button down shirt, flannel shirt, suspenders, tie, eyeglasses, drawn on mustache or beard, gray hair spray
This is such a fun day in our class. We are the only class in the school that does this and it is great to see the reactions from our other school mates. Stay tuned and look for pictures on the blog to see all the fun we have on that day.
Want to earn an easy golden ticket. Have you child come to school and tell me the word of the day: SUPERBOWL. If they say it they will earn a ticket.
